4 tips for an energetic start of your day
It’s getting colder, the days are shorter and it’s getting darker when we wake up. On some days the morning sun doesn’t even shine, but it’s a big rain shower that heralds the start of your day. Hardly anyone is really happy with this, right? How do you ensure that you start your day energetically? We have listed a few tips for you to start your day radiant, even if it rains.
1. Outdoor air
Make sure you enjoy the outdoors! This can be done by opening your windows/doors when you wake up, or by taking a nice morning walk. This ensures that your head and body can wake up properly with a fresh morning breeze from outside. But it turns out to have even more advantages. After a walk you are sharper and more creative. In addition, we also seem to sleep better after being outside all day!
2. Sports in the morning
Exercising in the morning has many benefits. The biggest advantage is that the substance endorphins is released during exercise. This will make you feel happy. If you start the day with sports (this can even be a small workout) you immediately get a boost of that feeling of happiness. This will start your day in a good mood! A workout in the morning – a morning run or cycling to work/school alone instead of using public transport or the car – improves focus during the day. 3. Get up in 15 seconds
If you really want something, you have to kick yourself! As soon as your alarm goes off, count 15 seconds and then get out of bed. Once you get out of bed so quickly, it’s important that you pat yourself on the back! For some, getting up quickly is easier said than done, so you should be a little proud of that!
4. Be positive!
Finally, start the day with a positive thought. Because don’t forget: this is going to be a great day! No matter how big or small today’s victory is, they are all achievements to be proud of! And with that sense of pride you should start the day.
